"TOP 100" for the best German SMEs

For the second year in a row, Fissler is being honored with the "TOP 100" seal of approval. The cookware experts from Idar-Oberstein were already awarded this prize in 2011. And this year, it again ranks among the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. This is an impressive achievement, for not many companies are able to meet the demanding criteria that are set in the course of the competition. Fissler earned a particularly large number of points in the area of innovation, a clear reflection of the company's values regarding the implementation of new ideas. The awards ceremony took place in Friedrichshafen on June 22, 2012, and was attended by members of the political and social scenes. Also present was journalist and TV host Ranga Yogeshwar, the mentor of this year's "TOP 100" project.

"I regard this seal of approval as recognition of our employees' outstanding work. Their enthusiasm and their commitment are our innovation factor number 1," Fissler Managing Director Markus H. Kepka commented with delight upon receiving the award again. "At the same time, we have instituted processes that flourish creativity. It is the combination of the two that makes us successful." The fact that this success is no coincidence is proven by the company's continuous will to innovate, which it has been living for more than 165 years. Fissler stands for cooking with pleasure and passion and has been one of the world's leading brands of high-quality cookware for decades. The company has always been committed to products that are "Made in Germany." With a wide variety of product developments, it has set standards and established new cooking trends.

Among its milestones were the introduction of the vitavit®, which Fissler launched in 1953 as the first pressure cooker on the market with a patented multi-level control valve. Since then, this classic model has been consistently further developed. The same holds true for the original-profi collection® stainless steel cookware line, which captured the market in 1980 as the first cookware with staycool metal handles. A current example of Fissler's innovative standards is the luno® line, which Fissler launched this year. It assists cooks with clever features while inspiring them to try out new ideas.

About Top 100
The decision to award the TOP 100 seal of approval is based on a comparative study conducted under the scientific leadership of Prof. Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Each year, with the help of a process it developed itself, it looks at the innovativeness of medium-sized German companies and recognizes the 100 best of such companies.
